Yup I suck…It has been way to long since I last made an entry on my blog. Life has been moving faster than the speed of light for the most part. Every time I turn around there seems to be something new that I need to get done, finish or for that matter start. I’m looking forward to October for a few reasons…1. All Hollows Eve is finally here (this is one of my favorite holiday’s), 2. I’m taking a month off from school so that I can catch up on my reading and writing, and 3. Life in general will be a little slower (despite the holiday season that is fast approaching).
This coming Saturday I will be attempting some very crazy…yup I said crazy. This is the weekend for the St. Louis Tough Mudder and I’m officially a participant. I’ve been training for this event for about six months now and I have seen some great changes in me. I know that this first time I will not accomplish all the obstacles, but I will attempt every single one! I’m exited, scared and nervous all at the same time….wish me luck!!! I’ll post pictures when I get them.
As for my healthier me campaign that is going rather well. After a month of working out I finally started to see the results. And I’m still going strong! I’m hoping to hit my goal by the end of the year and hopefully I’ll pass my crazy physical training test in October without too much of a problem. This by far my biggest goal for the simple reason that I made my next stripe, but I could lose it if I fail this test. Talk about an incentive to pass!
So my dear Friend Kate got me started on a new book series called The Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I highly recommend it to any one who finds history, the Scots and Europe rather interesting. The author writes a good story with characters that just pull you in. In fact I find myself getting completely pulled into the story to the point I hate putting the book down. I have to admit that my current class grade has suffered a little due to the series! Anyone have any other book suggestions??
Well I’m off for my morning run….I’ll write Sunday and tell you how my Tough Mudder went. And I promise to be a better writer and write more often! Writing is one of my saving graces.
