So as I mentioned in an earlier post I had a Tough Mudder run yesterday. For those of you who don’t know what a Tough Mudder is, its basically ten to twelve miles of hell, mud, and obstacles. In the case of my run it was eleven miles with eighteen crazy obstacles. The run benefits the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that near anand yup there were even some Wounded Warriors out on the course with us) dear to me (These obstacles included fire, water, ice, mud, heights, you name it and I probably lived it yesterday. The Tough Mudder is one of the hardest obstacles courses that will test you in every way possible. Make no mistake this is not a race, this course was designed for team work. No one makes through the course without help at some point.
I have to say that yes I finished it, but I did not come out uninjured. I have cuts, bruises, scrapes, a knot o the head and even a few joints that I’m pretty sure that are twisted. And to be honest I still have mud on me despite the fact that I have taken two showers since finishing the course. I have to say that this was on of the hardest challenges in my life, which is now complete….I’m ready to face greater challenges thanks to this run.
I had a blast yesterday and even faced a few fears of mine. It was a reminder how much fun life can be and that a little challenge in life keeps things interesting and fun! I recommend that everyone find something challenging and fun in life…it is after all the spice of life that keeps us entertained!
